President


As CARE’s President, Ms. Sheridan provides strategic leadership that positions the organization at the forefront of the Health Information Management (HIM) industry.  She leads the development of key priorities and works with the CARE team to implement solutions that address emerging industry challenges and increase the value of HIM in client organizations.  She also oversees company operations to ensure quality and exemplary customer service.

Ms. Sheridan co-developed Systems-based Leadership and Change Management™, a framework for leading successful change.  She coaches HIM professionals and senior healthcare executives in applying the framework in order to more effectively lead their organizations through change.  Prior to joining CARE in 1999, Ms. Sheridan served in several capacities at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has also served as director of Health Information Management at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
  
An HIM graduate of Kean College in New Jersey, Ms. Sheridan also received an MBA from Baruch College of the City University of New York.  She has completed a post-graduate program and one year of individual coaching focused on the application of Bowen theory in the workplace.

Ms. Sheridan has held volunteer roles in state and national HIM organizations, including a recent term on the AHIMA board of directors.  She co-authors the column “Hands-on Help,” which appears monthly in Advance for Health Information Professionals.
